Sad to say that the service was terrible. The coffee owner didn't explain what the cakes were (only after asking she said one word without the detail of the flavour, quite harshly to be honest) when we said we spoke english she seemed to be angry or in a bad mood and the lemonade that I had was not real lemonade but more like 7up. I am not happy at all with my experience here. I don't know if it is because we are not french, because we came at 13:38 and only wanted dessert and a coffee (even though there were a couple other free tables), or who knows. In that case she could have just said they only serve lunch and we would have gone elsewhere. Excellent surroundings, beautifully decorated and furnished to maintain the sense of the bookshop it once was, yet contemporary and light.
