Writing this review mainly for anyone who is going to this restaurant with high expectations (as I was). The setting is incredible that’s true, but don’t expect any superb quality of service or food. I had an unfortunate situation where I ordered the entrecôte dish, excited for it as described in the menu (with bone marrow, confit garlic, potatoes in their skin, tzatziki cream) but when the dish arrived it was nothing as described. I asked the waitress why this happened her response was to blame her colleague that he should’ve mentioned that the bone marrow was not available today, even though she took my order and failed to mention that as well. Still not sure what the reason for the different type of potatoes and the absence of tzatziki cream was. But with a situation that is disappointing, a respectable restaurant will try to make it up in any way, however they were only able to subtract €2 from my total lol. The conclusion was a disappointing experience with a basic dish and I left feeling like my satisfaction was not a priority, which is always an indication of a mediocre establishment that cares about the “vibe” above hospitality and...
Read more✅Location: Amazing ✅Food: Amazing ✅Wine: Very fitting with the dishes and a plus that’s it the wine from the vineyard ❌Lack of Parasols with 28 degrees full in the sun it became unpleasant to eat. We were lucky to have a quarter of a parasol and we rotated places to have some shade, others were not that lucky… ❌Service: the service at Baïto was very disappointing taking away the great work of the chefs making really good food. The waiter with blond hair and Backstreet boy look does not know what service in a restaurant involves. No smiles, no welcome, no explanation of the menu written on the board, forgot to bring water, we asked 3 times to get it, we had to ask for bread, he forgot to bring the bread, again we asked 3 times and finally got brought to the table next to us. Paying close to €60 per person for lunch we could expect these basic things to be delivered without asking...
Read morea beautiful coal fired open kitchen besides a vineyard. sadly the food does not match up to the setting, they are doing an admirable job compared to most places in cassis, but would encourage them to go back to basics. where are the herbs, where is the seasoning? Wheres the classic french cooking? lobster croquettes, totally bland and saltless. sardines cooked beautifully, but accompanied with a tasteless mayonnaise and a chimichurri they forgot to include on the plate. lamb cutlets were cooked perfectly, but needed herbs, and more classical accompaniments. same goes for the octopus. People dont want bland veg mixed with feta. I hope they adapt their menu slightly and make it simpler. Because the setting and the service is exquisite . You are in france, cook...
