Brooklyn 14th — Restaurant in Marseille

Do NOT go here. I normally don’t write reviews but this was honestly one of the worst service experiences I’ve ever had. They gave us an English menu and the prices were clearly written, yet when we came to pay before leaving they suddenly charged €6 more than what was written on the menu, saying that the English menus didn’t have updated prices… That seems like it’s the restaurant’s problem - not the guests’! This was after the grilled salmon we ordered had come out raw and cold, and we had to send it back (it was really uncooked), and they then brought us back the same fillet, this time overcooked and cut into pieces.. And before that the waitress had tried to walk away with my still full tea cup (the tea btw cost €6 as well 😅). I didn’t make a thing out of any of these things - I’m not a difficult guest and mistakes can happen - but when they after all this had the audacity to also charge us extra, blaming the English menu’s prices not being updated (which no one had mentioned to us earlier), it really got too much. We ended up paying what they asked because we didn’t have the energy, but my strong advice is: do NOT go here. (Also, the waiting staff and chef were sitting outside smoking hookah most of the time. Again, this doesn’t have to be a problem, but if it’s paired with really bad service, ridiculous prices, and uncooked food, it doesn’t paint a...

The food is absolutely overpriced. Mushrooms from the can in a thin sauce, the pasta was partially lukewarm. The Virgin Mojito is mixed with white sugar, not with brown sugar. The dishes have little flourishes like sesame sparkles or rosemary, but that's more appearance than substance.

All in all this restaurant lacks care. There is trash on the floor between tables, wires on the floor are messy and two of our drinking glasses had sharp (!) chips on the edge.

The service was lackluster. Our waiter actually wanted to eat her own food in peace instead of serving us. No refills were offered, despite coming to our table while glasses were empty. The owner should allow for proper break times for their staff.

I booked a table online and got confirmation. Google stated it was open. Once I got there the restaurant was shut down. Too hard updating opening hours on google? Update after the reply of the restaurant: Your technical problem costed me 40€ of taxi, a bad impression on the three customers I was taking to dinner, and the desperate research of another restaurant. If you had the time to reply this quick to my review, what would have it took to update the hours on google? 20 seconds? You are an activity that is open to the public....
