Le David Brasserie — Restaurant in Marseille

We enjoyed the food at Brasserie David but the chef is let down by the front of house staff. Our waitress forgot our wine order and the waiter who delivered our food didn’t think it was his job to chase the wine because we hadn’t ordered it from him. With food still on our plates and obviously actively eating we were asked if we had finished. We got our bill and tried to pay three times but the waiters didn’t respond because they were too busy chatting to each other or their friends on neighbouring tables. We slowly walked out with our bill which prompted our waiter to bring the card reader to us at the front door. We were happy to pay but disappointed at such...

I ordered coffee and dessert in French, "deux cafés et une crème brûlée". Granted my french is not perfect but he brought us 2 coffees with a ton of cream in it and no dessert. I tried to ask about it. He just kept telling me he wasn't good at English and that he had no idea what Crème brûlée was... Crème brûlée is literally french and theres no other way to say it. I swear this man was just screwing with us. We also waited about a half hour for the check

And the pizza tastes like...

Cannot fault the food. It was nearly perfect. The only thing about the food is that, there was a little too much of it. Sometimes less is more. But this could be just me. I got the seabream. Very nice. My partner got the burger. She is Irish so good beef is close to home. It tasted fresh and homemade. But again, a lot on the plate.

One issue was the drinks. They were not cold. In a 30 degree temperature, I would like it cold.

Over all, I would come back....
