We were looking for a vegan restaurant and stumbled upon this on Google Maps. It had pretty good reviews so we gave it a shot. SUMMARY: Love that it’s vegan, but needs more time in development. The restaurant had a semi-fine dining vibe to it. It kinda felt unfinished, but it’s a new-ish restaurant. The menu was simple (1 entree, 3 dishes, and 1 dessert option). We did the entree + plat + dessert combo. The entree (tuna/chickpea salad) was pretty tasty when paired with the vinaigrette. I got the burger for the plat, which I have a lot of problems with this dish. The biggest issue is the patty. It was delicious and the outside was crispy. But the patty did not hold together at all - it is missing a binding agent. The whole burger fell apart into a giant mush after the first few bites! The bun, which was a charcoal bun, was too soft and broke down as well. Not to mention, it was the same as the bread that we were given as part of the entree so I got bored of it. The beet fries were not the greatest. I get it, it’s fine-ish dining, but I think pairing crispy fries with the burger is a better option. The beets just tasted like roasted veggies. Overall, I think the recipe needs a lot of tinkering with, but they are on the right track. My partner had the gnocchi and it was super bland. There were some diners nearby who ordered gnocchi and asked for salt as well. Lastly, the dessert was okay. It was an orange cake/pastry (I forgot the French word for it). It was served cold/room temperature, which really killed it. I think warming it would have made it better. Maybe we’ll come back again in a couple months or a year to see if it’s better. Thanks for having us!
