Taj mahal mende — Restaurant in Mende

If authentic curry is what you're looking for then this Indian menu is definitely not for you. The chef desperately needs to rework his bland and watery curry recipe and it might be worth checking his CV again... However, if you're looking for and Indian-Moroccan setting with loud, YouTube New York jazz music with adverts and Valentin's Day decorations then this restaurant is perfect for you. We have not tried the Moroccan dishes and these might be better than the curries. Also to note, the waiter and his service...

Very nice meal in Mende. The food was very well spiced. Warm by french standards but not as hot as British customers would expect. The service was super. It was reasonably busy so not ultraquick but certainly quick enough for a relaxed evening meal.

La devanture du restaurant m'a interpellé lorsque j'ai découvert Mende. Le Taj Mahal qui propose une cuisine marocaine...j'ai trouvé ça original. Mais la carte etait purement indienne. J'ai décidé de tester. Et j'ai bien fait. La cuisine est vraiment bonne. Un leger bemol pour le naan fromage qui était un peu trop huileux et qui manquait un peu de fromage. Côté service, ça ramait beaucoup. Riz froid, service longuet. Mais la gentillesse du personnel a largement compensé. Tout est rentré dans l'ordre. Après s'être excusé de ces petits cafouillage, le café et le dessert nous ont ete offerts. Pour terminer l'anecdote indo marocaine du début, on m'a expliqué que le resto proposait aussi des plats marocains le week end. Alors je dis "vive le multiculturalisme" Je suis sur que la partie marocaine est encore meilleure que la partie indienne. Bravo a toute...
