Le bistrot 1957 — Restaurant in Montauban

I went a year ago, it was at that time good, food and service. Decided to go today with a friend from Belgium. What a disappointment. We had a little table for two, I moved my chair to be next to him and not across so we could look at some pictures on Instagram, immediately the boss sent a waitress to day we couldn't sit that way !!!! The place was half empty. Fair enough we changed table. I ordered falafel salad, mushy cumin balls ( probably made with a chickpeas flour mix) on a bowl of shredded lettuce, a few onions. -+16 euros for this!!? With coffee and bottled water..expensive place....For 18 euros you get a menu at the restaurant across the bridge..Festin de Babette...and really delicious, with pleasant smiling staff. I will go there...

A little English review for the tourists 😎 Nice little restaurant, some nice choices. We were allowed to have our dog on the terrace and she was even offered a bowl of water. The waitress was very nice and answered our questions happily. I would recommend the owner to find more local ingredients. Why not a rocamadour cheese instead of Brie? The price and quality of food corresponds well. The bathroom is one of the cleanest I have seen in France. Good job to...

Une super expérience. Ma fille et moi avons débarqué en tout début de service, ce midi, mi-octobre. Accueillies par une serveuse très gentille, nous avons découvert la carte, c'est la première fois que je venais. Burger frite pour ma fille et burger végétarien pour moi. Le tout est arrivé super vite, nous avions précisé que nous n'avions pas beaucoup de temps. Mon burger végétarien etait magnifique, voir photo. Un pain façon croissant feuilleté, une galette de pois chiches, des légumes frais et croquants, des frites délicieuses, à la fois moëlleuses et croustillantes et une petite mayonnaise à la moutarde à l'ancienne. C'est copieux mais cela ne nous fait pas peur, on est gourmandes😁. Du coup, on zyeute la carte des desserts. Elle ,une dame blanche, moi une Forêt Noire. Un régal. Nous étions en terrasse, mais en rentrant payer, je me suis dit que je pourrais revenir cet hiver. L'intérieur niveau décoration est entre brasserie et pub anglais. Un très bon repas servi rapidement, par des hôtes très gentils et efficaces. Je le recommande et j'y...
