Les bastides — Restaurant in Montauban

We had the €16 menu de jour for lunch. Service was friendly and quick, but not rushed. We were able to enjoy a relaxing meal.

The starter was Italian melon, which was a very generous portion of melon and Parma ham.

The main was a fillet of turkey and rice in a very tasty mushroom sauce. My fillet was perfectly cooked but my wife's was a thinner piece and it was a bit dry, bordering on being a bit tough.

I had the cheese selection which I struggled to finish, there was so much cheese. My wife had a muffin in creme anglaise which she enjoyed very much, it was extremely light.

We would eat here again...

We have been to this place often over the past 2 weeks and previously in January for similar time, there isn't much else open in Bruniquel apart from a pizza restaurant next door and 1 other restaurant. This is more your plat d jour place, service is good most of the time, when it's busy you can be waiting a very long time!. Normal days it's fast service and generally good basic food. The staff are helpful and pleasant. It's a tabac and paper shop also so mostly it's open (not on a monday). Worth a visit...

Très déçus ! Arrivés en couple à 12h10, il est vrai sans réservation, le monsieur au comptoir scanne nos pass et nous dirige vers une table, la dame au service vient vers nous pour nous dire que "c'est presque complet et même complet", impossible de nous accepter, 2 personnes de plus, car aujourd'hui le personnel était en effectif réduit. Il y avait juste une table de 2 dans la salle! Nous sommes allés manger dans le petit resto/pizzéria à côté, magret, frites maison, salade. La salle était simple assez rustique, un peu froide, les produits très basiques, mais le monsieur, fort sympathique, était SEUL en cuisine, en salle, à l'encaissement ! Il a fait de son mieux pour nous faire plaisir. Bravo monsieur de prendre à cœur votre métier ! Bonne continuation et nous espérons que vous arriverez à faire évoluer et fructifier votre petit...
