We love this little place. Cheerful, reasonably priced and surprisingly good for what initially looks like a typical canal quick stop-by cafe/bar. A perfect place if you're a burger and chips person (I'm not normally but I do like their burgers - all home made with good quality fresh ingredients) and their other dishes are rather good too - nice sea-food salads/healthy options, fresh fish and good solid regional dishes - all generous portions. Local friends say that they do a great fish and chips dish (in ale batter) on a Friday. They have recently expanded and renovated the interior and toilet areas which are now perfectly decent. The owner/chef is very friendly, and, contrary to another review on here, the young French server works well (she doesn't speak English so if you don't make any effort to speak even a little basic French then I can imagine you may run into a couple of communication difficulties). A lovely spot by the canal on a sunny day in a pretty, covered terrace for a light lunch with decent wine - perfect! I will certainly be a regular here and bring my visiting...
