L' Industrie — Restaurant in Nîmes

Absolutely the worst experience we have had in the many trips we have made to France.

We are late 60 couple. We called earlier for a reservation and were seated by 15 rowdy drunks. There were many tables out under the umbrellas but they parked us next to the door by a bunch of yelling drunkards.

I am certain it was done on purpose as it is a local restaurant and they were letting us know that Americans were not welcome.

We were afraid for our life, so I paid the ridiculously over priced bill and left.

The food was horrible but we only ate a couple of bites as the drunk beside had his cigarette close enough to my face that he actually burned my ear.

Horrible terrible awful.

We had such a great evening here! We arrived a bit early for our reservation, so we took a walk up the hill behind the restaurant to the castle ruins — already a wonderful experience with stunning views. When we came back, the restaurant was filling up and the atmosphere was fantastic, especially with the sunset in the background.

L'Industrie is a brilliant traditional village restaurant. It is set in the centre of the village under a few large beautiful plain trees. Staff are super professional and do a great job.
