L'Écluse — Restaurant in Nantes

A fine dining restaurant along the river in Vertou, France. The restaurant has a wonderful vibe for both dining indoors or when the weather is nice outdoors. It might be a little tricky to find via Google maps but if you feel you’ve reached a point that you must park, go ahead and then just walk to the river and follow it to the restaurant. The presentation of the food will be the first thing you notice and it’s great but then when you taste your meal you will find and even better experience. The service is superb and friendly making for a fun dining experience and when you’re done eating you don’t feel rushed to leave. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a visit. I have to admit that this address is a true deception! I was looking forward to have lunch with my family and I found taste less dishes, poor and slow service, waiter not wearing masks (COVID-19) and the bill was there!

I tried 2 of their specialities, a starter : “couteau a l’aïe” and the “encornet au chorizo”. The 1st one was ok, but the cream with the “couteau” is definitely too much and disappointing. The second one was just taste less and the squid was over cooked!

My wife had a fish with some kind of risotto which was not even cooked with proper Arborio rice and was also taste less...

I do not recommend this place unless you want to spend money on something unworthy! I would recommend the chef to focus on simpler and...

J'ai récemment dîné dans ce restaurant avec des amis et je dois dire que nous avons passé une soirée exceptionnelle. Tout était parfait, du début à la fin.

Tout d'abord, nous avons commencé par prendre un verre et j'ai été agréablement surpris par la qualité de la carte des vins. C'était tout simplement parfait.

Ensuite, nous avons commandé le tartare de bœuf préparé par le chef et nous n'avons pas été déçus. La viande était fraîche et savoureuse, assaisonnée à la perfection. C'était un vrai régal pour les papilles.

Pour accompagner notre repas, nous avons opté pour une bouteille de vin Mennetou rouge et nous avons été conquis. Ce vin était vraiment très bon, avec des arômes subtils et une belle longueur en bouche. C'était le choix parfait pour compléter notre repas.

En ce qui concerne l'ambiance, la décoration du restaurant était très sympathique. Les couleurs étaient chaleureuses et l'atmosphère était conviviale. De plus, nous avions une vue exceptionnelle sur le bord de l'eau, ce qui ajoutait une touche de charme à notre soirée.

Enfin, nous avons pu profiter de la terrasse bien aménagée pour prendre un dernier verre. C'était très agréable de pouvoir être en plein air, tout en profitant de la vue magnifique.

En résumé, notre expérience dans ce restaurant a été tout simplement parfaite. Du bar au beurre blanc exceptionnellement bon, en passant par le délicieux tartare de bœuf, la bouteille de vin Mennetou rouge et la vue exceptionnelle, tout était au rendez-vous pour passer une soirée mémorable.
