La Cabane de Vincent Boniface — Restaurant in Narbonne

Many delicious mussels are bred here in the Etang near Leucate. Including, of course, oysters. They end up freshly caught in the restaurants in Port de Peche Leucate. One of them was recommended to us. The Boniface.

Inside there is room for about 16 people, who can then eat their fill of three kinds of mussels. The prices are very fair and many people stop by and take a few kilos of oysters home.

The quality of the mussels is so good that you don't just eat the oysters raw. Only the prawns are cooked but cold. A great experience, especially because the sale of freshly caught fish is the top priority here and less the fine dining in the restaurant. Our friends who have a house in the south of France tell us that Boniface is the seafood place to which they always return when they're in Leucate. They say it's the best -- fresh, with excellent prices and good service.

They took us there today, and I agree with their assessment. The shrimp I ordered couldn't have been fresher, and those who ordered oysters, mussels, and clams said the same.

I also welcomed the opportunity to sit outside and watch fishing boats arrive with new loads of seafood, as well as to be visited by sparrows begging crumbs from diners at the outside tables. I highly recommend La Cabane de...

Grosse déception pour cette cabane. Je mets une étoile car on est obligé. On était là le dimanche dernier 19/07/2020 à 10h30. Le serveur était désagréable, très froid et manque professionnel. On était 3 dans une petite table, du coup on a ajouté une autre table car on a demandé un plateau + vin + pains. Une petite table ne suffit pas. Il n’y avait personne et il y avait beaucoup de places dans le terrasse. Mais quand-t-il y avait une groupe 6 personnes qui sont arrivés. Le serveur a retiré directement notre table sans nous prévenir et il nous a dit « soit vous restez dans petite table, soit vous changez la table ». Je l’ai demandé d’ajouter juste une petite table parce qu’il n’y avait pas beaucoup de monde, ça ne dérangeait personne mais il nous a refusé. Nous, on devrait se débrouiller de changer la table. Le pire ce que quand il a amené notre plateau, il l’a jeté sur notre table, des glaçons étaient tombés partout sur la table et la chaise. Ça nous a fait choquer!!! Aucun respect avec des clients. Quand on est parti à 11h19´et il n’y avait toujours que 8 clients sur la terrasse....Enfin bref, ça nous a cassé notre moral et bien sûr, nous n'y retournerons plus jamais, nous irons voir si d'autres sont beaucoup plus aimables et commerçants. Nous payons pour passer un bon moment, ce n’est pas pour des pires expériences. Je vous déconseille...
