What a super restaurant.
No pretensions, simple hearty fare, served like they are happy to be there.
We had previously visited La Table Du Cure back in October 2023 after trekking round Queribus.
We enjoyed, very much, the ambiance and fare served on that occasion and so decided to get in the trusty voiture and re-acquaint ourselves (and take advantage of the jalopies air conditioning!).
So glad we did. Again, it was a baking hot day with hardly any breeze and so we sat outside on the open terrace. We were the first to arrive (trying not to seem too eager!). Although a Saturday, a menu du jour was available.
Between us we opted for a mixture of menu du jour and a’ la carte.
The food quality was excellent and well presented. So far as quantity was concerned, which was generous throughout, whilst the initial thought was to eat it all over again, sensibility prevailed and a re-visit again was promised.
The service was welcoming, efficient and very pleasant.
The total cost was E56 which covered 2 jus de fruits, a glass of rose’, a 3 course menu at E22, tomates burrata at E17 and a couple of coffees.
All very pleasant indeed and yet another extremely good value, unpretentious restaurant that we will very definitely visit again and would...
Read moreThe food is really tasty and very nicely presented. There are not many vegetarian options but there is always one vegetarian starter and some vegetarian sides. The day I went there one side was finished and one was not vegetarian one so I had no much choice, just one started and one side dish but the portions were quite big and I was full after. The place itself also looks nice. The only problem is the waiting time. We had to wait 45 minutes to be able to order our food. Once we ordered the service was quite fast but 45 minutes waiting to order… not acceptable. Also on Google and their page it says that they are open before the dinner for drinks and salads. We came there at 19 and they told us that we must come back at 19.30. However later in we saw some people drinking beer in the garden so probably it is possible to order a drink before the dinner. This is why I give 4 stars. The food deserved 5 stars but the...
Read moreVery good food. I’m a chef, and had one of the best duck leg dishes I ever had… crispy, juicy and a superb jus to go with it. I’m surprised the restaurant only has 4.2* considering how well we ate tonight. Should be 4.8-5. I saw that there was large group of Spanish tourists who didn’t get offered a table because they didn’t have space, and every single one of them left a 1* review. What a shame to see how awful people can be. The food is amazing and the staff are super lovely. Also 26€ for a duck leg with potatoes isn’t expensive considering how well it’s cooked. It’s normal. Please understand how much prices have gone up and how hard it is to run a restaurant. Well done guys, keep up the great work and don’t let nasty...
