New Indien Restaurant — Restaurant in Nice

What a disappointment…… Ordered last night from them, from a friend’s recommendation, never again! My friend had number 27, tiger prawns in a curry sauce & the prawns still had their heads & tails…… I had paneer tika massala & we both shared the starter mix which was greasy & overcooked. In general, the food was blend, tasteless as if water was mixed with it, the tika massala sauce tasted more of a veggie diluted soup than anything else Not being from around here, we thought rice came with both platters (which it did not) but nobody asked us if we wanted rice when we called…..Not very commercial if I may say! And to top it all off, the delivery guy was 20 minutes late…… Where we are from, for orders worth more than 30€, you get a can or a bottle of beer for free, last night? Nothing! Our order was 57€ & we tipped the delivery guy 5€……. Sorry guys, the experience was too bad for me to ever order...

Very poor taste. I ordered Paneer Tilka Masala and Garlic Naan, there was no garlic in the naan, it was just a roti, I eat garlic on daily basis they told me there is paste in it, LIARS, there was No Garlic taste at all. And in Paneer Tikka Masala, it was only Tomato Paste with couple Fried Paneer pieces and No prepared in milk creme or any thing. The worst paneer taste I ever ate out of hundreds of Indian restaurants. But these local peoples have No knowledge of these dishes. These restaurant guys are South Indian and they can make very delicious South Indian dishes but they are selling North Indian dishes and they don’t even know that. Waiting simulator. We waited a over a whole hour and a half for any food to arrive, aside from the gritty crackers they gave us. The waiter forgot about us for 5 minutes until a different waiter took our order.

We asked multiple times when the food was ready and each time they said now. It was not ready. They don’t pour your drink or put the plate in front of you properly. They clearly don’t care about you from their attitude. An hour in, 3 bags of to go food was ready for delivery to someone else.

The food was below mediocre, overcooked and the portions were small.

Naan was burnt and wet.

Rice with saffron was just rice.

Lamb biryani was interpreted as special biryani.

In short, don’t bother with this shameless establishment.
