Le Bistrotteur — Restaurant in Nyons

Cette fois, nous avons décidé de ne pas prendre l'autoroute mais plutôt la route lente d'Avignon à Briançon. Le défi était de trouver un restaurant à la hauteur du magnifique paysage le long de notre chemin. J'ai trouvé ce petit bijou avec l'aide de Google Maps. ;-). Le plaisir a commencé par le sourire enjoué et accueillant de notre hôte, et le bon temps s'est poursuivi tout au long de notre délicieux repas. Ah, les plaisirs de la Provence ! Le vin rouge Côtes-de-Rhône (Julien de l'Embisque, Vin Cent Zajou) sans silfites était très bon, ainsi que la Liqueur Farigoule de Forcalquier de Thym. ;-). Je vais peut-être prendre la longue route des Alpes à nouveau. :-) (Le conducteur n’a bu que de l'eau… c'est une route sinueuse. Restez en sécurité.)

This time we decided not to take the freeway but instead the slow route from Avignon to Briançon. The challenge was to find a restaurant up to par with the beautiful landscape along our drive. I found this little gem with the help of Google Maps. ;-). The pleasure began with the playful, welcoming smile of our host, and the good time continued throughout our delicious meal. Ah, the pleasures of the Provence! What a delightful experience! We dined here as a group of 7. We all agreed it was like having dinner and a show given the ambience and charming staff. One of our group is gluten free and they took great care of explaining options and providing GF alternatives so she could enjoy everything the group enjoyed. We stopped here for lunch while on a bike ride from Vaison. Warm welcome and efficient service. We had the tomato salad with burrata panacotta and the burger, with a glass of rose. We were so hungry, I forgot to take pictures of the food but trust me it was excellent. We have had other lunches in Nyons and they weren’t even close to the quality, fresh ingredients and fabulous tastes we enjoyed here. Highly recommend...
