I am in Gif-sur-Yvette on business travel. I wandered into Le Canapé for dinner tonight. I did not know I was going to have a fantastic experience. The food was amazing. I had a ceviche that exceeded all of the others I have ever had. The flavors of fish, and lime, and sweet potato were perfectly balanced and the cilantro just stitched it all together.
My plat was a swordfish skewer to die for. So moist, flavorful, and luscious. Couscous cooked to perfection and a little building block of carrots etc just balanced it all perfectly.
I never have dessert, but it came with the meal tonight, and I was glad in the end. Crème brûlée - pistachio crème brûlée with raspberries. AMAZING.
And almost as good as the food was the atmosphere. The wait staff was incredibly efficient, clearly both a delivery arm of the kitchen and their own team, weaving in and out among the many customers. They have an excellent rapport with one another, are very ready to work as a team, lean in for a funny moment, and return to action seamlessly.
The bill was not hefty - 60 euros covered it, including a carafe of wine...

A 24 ans je gérais déjà un restaurant, bar, petit mais 30 couverts assurés a 3, tous les midis alors votre attitude de non commerçante me fait honte et honte pour la France de la façon dont vous avez reçu des touristes vous avez entre les mains une superbe affaire sur un site très favorable, et figurez vous que quel que soit le type de restaurant j'observe de très près, propreté, personnels, cuisine, vaisselles, tables, chaises etc, si je vous dit qu'on a été déçu...
