After three days in Paris, we were craving Asian food especially rice. We made a reservation for a French Japanese restaurant for lunch and ordered a set menu. The presentation was beautiful but it wasn’t real Asian food. This really hit home when my son asked for a bowl of rice and was told they don’t serve rice, only bread. 160 euros later, we were still still craving Asian food. We searched Google for sushi and found Sushi Supe. It’s a small place with only 2 tables and we were actually able to make a reservation. We scanned the menu and were eyeing the 50 piece sushi plate but hesitant in case the sushi wasn’t good. So the family of 5 ordered a small sushi plate to just try it out and it was so good! The salmon looked fresh and fatty and was so tasteful. Our waiter/sushi chef/cashier Anaz was so friendly and explained the salmon is fresh and imported from Scotland. We also ordered the chicken Yakitori over a bed of rice. We even told Anaz we don’t want any rolls with cream cheese or fake crab and he made our rolls to order. He even gave us a few free pieces of complimentary sushi. 96 euros, we were full and our Asian...
Read moreWe ate here on friday, and when we arrived the owner/chef coincidentally just reopened the store. While we were talking, he really made you feel at ease. After choosing a box for take out, we looked at how the chef personally prepared the menu, which we fully enjoyed at the banks of the seine.
Really friendly guy, very considerate and lovely to talk too. Very confident about his food, fully so because it's the best sushi we've had in paris, especially for the price!! We took box 1 which was 35 euros, and we devoured it till the last bite. He also speaks english very well, which was very lovely since my french is not that good. Unfortunately there is no toilet presence due to the size of the shop, which is not a big deal but good to know. Also a note to the owner, having a bit of background music would really add to the atmosphere.
Conclusion, we would definitely come...

The cook was welcoming and friendly, he even spent time sharing with us his decade of experience in the sushi world and we learned so many things about the fish selection… definitely showed us why they are so good!
Because yes, they are some of the best sushis we’ve ever had! Tasty, freshly cooked (and they rightfully insist on that, as it’s essential for good sushis), they are amazing.
We felt that everything was designed to make us feel good and enjoy our meal. The whole purpose of hospitality, combined with excellent...
