We booked our rooms and we're looking forward to our stay. We were told that the hotel was open all day. We arrived tired and hot mid-afternoon to find the hotel closed. There was a notice providing a telephone number should the hotel unusually be closed. We phoned this number but it just rang out. There was no alternative but to wait. At 5.30 a young woman arrived. I Introduced myself and she told me that I would need to wait for the owner to turn up and perhaps we would like to walk around the village. I explained that we had already been waiting for three hours, so she phoned the owner and asked her to come down. The owner arrived and, although she was perfectly civil, there was not a hint of an apology.||The next morning we came down for breakfast at the agreed time. There was no "good morning" and no table laid.
