Le colmano — Restaurant in Pointe-à-Pitre

Based on reviews, and a long 16 hour travel day, we quickly decided to have dinner here. Frankly the food was mediocre at best.

The woman who served us was friendly enough but the restaurant had a mere six people there--I'm loathe to find out what happens if the place is full!--and I almost fell asleep waiting for food, while of course the French couple who came in after us was busy eating and about to cash out before we saw our entree, raw tuna and a noodle stir fry--hardly a time consuming prep!

It won't be the most unfortunate meal we've eaten, but surely there are better...

Second time we went there because the first diner we had was absolutely amazing. We decided that on our last day we would return as we had such a great experience first time and wow we were not disappointed, fabulous! Delicious!!! This is slow cooking with excellence, flavourful and just quality food not to forget the generous cocktails ( I recommend the Americano a very 1950ies Italian drink). The food and drinks were excellent. We had the tapas XL and the two mains were langoustine with risotto (best risotto ever!!) and langoustine with linguine. Came here with two young kids. The staff were very considerate and the service was fast. Although there was no high chair, this will not prevent us from coming back!
