Bistrot de la Gare — Restaurant in Prades

Does not exist. Was relying on this place for food on my 2 days in La-tour de carol between trains at the end of October. I even tried message them before arrival and got no response. I arrived and it was firmly closed and stayed that way throughout my 2 day stay. There is nothing there,i do not know what scam they are running but this place is 100% closed. Do not rely on it!

Seems like it has closed down permanently. The whole station is dead and it is impossible to buy tickets for the Spanish line until you arrive at the gates in Barcelona and they act like your purposefully avoided buying one even though you had no choice. Very weird place in general. Luckily the local supermarket opens for a few hours in the evening on a Saturday so i could get some pasta to survive for 2 days and get out of this strange...

We have several reasons for recommending it. First the little narrow gauge 'Yellow Train' terminates here and if you haven't been on it I suggest you Google it and give yourself a treat, perfect for a family outing. Second, if your travelling by car to or from Andorra its a perfect stopping/rest point on your journey. Thirdly, you'd think a Bistrot at a train station would be so so, you'd be wrong. 5* Michelin its not, but if you'd like good food well cooked, pleasantly served in unpretentious surroundings at a reasonable price then this is the place to visit.
