We booked online and had been told by friends that the restaurant was a real treat so we were really looking forward to dining there. On arrival, there was no record of our booking but we were facilitated with a table and were told we would have to wait 20 minutes to order, which was fine by us, we are glad to be facilitated, despite them having no record of our online booking. On the night in question, it started to rain and got colder at the same time as we arrived. This meant that the normal outdoor tables weren’t available for customers. This seemed to result in throwing the whole restaurant into disarray. There were quite a number of waiting staff, meaning that service should have been prompt. We were given menus and we ordered drinks. The 20 minutes passed. Another 20 minutes passed with no sign of anyone taking our order, despite us trying to attract the attention of several waiting staff. As we were waiting so long, we had decided to pay for our drinks and leave, but just as we were about to do so, the waiter returned to take our order. We ordered and the food and got it within 15 minutes which was fine. However four of the five dishes were cold. We had to return the food to have it heated. The standard of four of the five dishes was poor a definitely not worth it. We found the place lacked atmosphere. The waiter who served us was not friendly. Overall our experience at Chez Bobs was extremely poor and as a result I would not return and could not recommend the restaurant to others.
