Crescendo Restaurant — Restaurant in Rochefort

If I could give this place zero stars right now I would. It should get 5 stars for the food etc but on our last of numerous visits, on our way to a six hour drive to the car ferry, we entered and ordered two adult and two junior meals. We paid and proceeded to our table, which hadn't been cleaned off yet. My wife took the two dirty trays from the table and placed them on the clearance trolley beside the kitchen. Before we could all sit down, the cashier came running over to tell us to come back to the cash desk to pay. My wife showed the cashier her mobile phone banking app to let the girl see that the money had already been deducted from her account. (Revolut sends a notification instantly, and lets you see the exact transaction details.) The cashier cancelled our order, and switched off the food order discs which we had. We were then surrounded by at least four other staff members who all shouted us down - in public - in front of all of the other customers and said we were wrong "where is your ticket" etc. The ticket had at this stage been cleared from the dirty trays and was gone. We still showed the girl our phone with the bank details of the transaction but were told to sit down and wait. After about 10 minutes I noticed the food order discs weren't blinking red. I went up to the cashier and she said they wouldnt work but to wait 'another ten minutes" . at this stage I demanded to see the manager. We explained to the manager and she instructed the chefs to prepare our food. We sat down with the eyes of every staff member and customer upon us, late for our long drive and feeling very hard done by. Eventually when the food arrived we did not enjoy it as we had been publicly made to look like criminals, for thew sake of €24 or so. What bad treatment. What bad customer service. My solicitor/notary will advise me on a course of action as my whole family has been publicly humiliated by untrained staff. I am...

We have enjoyed eating at Crescendo while visiting Ile D'oleron on several occasions. Today, however, we had a terrible experience. After ordering and paying with a bank card, we proceeded to our table. The girl who completed the transaction and took the payment came to say we needed to return to cash desk. She then said we hadn't paid and to produce evidence of receipt. The receipt had been left on a tray on our uncleaned table and was subsequently taken away when table was cleared. Fortunately, my bank sends a message when a transaction is completed using my card. In other words, I had evidence to prove I had paid. She continued to insist I hadn't paid. At this point other staff and customers were aware of the situation. We felt humiliated and embarrassed. The girl on the register was rude and said we couldn't eat because we hadn't paid. After insisting to speak to a manager, eventually we were allowed eat. Unfortunately, the food tasted bad after such a negative experience. In Ireland, a company that treats customers so badly would be sued for defamation of character. There was a very minor apology from the manager eventually. The girl who made the mistake didn't apologise. If this mistake had not been made, my review would be 5 Star as food is excellent...

Une étoile car on ne peut pas mettre moins… en relationnel on s’est fait recevoir !! Tout ça parce qu’on avait pas lu les petites lignes du menu. Le caissier qui venait juste de mal parler au cuisinier, nous a pris de haut, et a été très hautain. Ensuite mon conjoint avait pris un « tacos savoyard », et moi un burger « savoyard »… nous recherchons encore la Savoie ! Tacos : poulet au curry, lardon pas cuits, sauce samouraï, sauce non identifiée déshydratée, tomate immonde voir passée, quelques bout de salade cuit…

Burger sauce savoyarde: à l’eau, aucun goût. J’ai demandé cuisson à point le steak était presque cru

Le tout était froid.

Les desserts sur la même lignée, étaient des desserts décongelés sans aucuns intérêt…

Quand on sait que pour tout cela nous avons payé 39€, autant aller à un bon restaurant ou à Mac do ce sera moins cher et valeur sûre !!!
