This is an excellent, small, family run hotel in St Chely. I had a problem with my foot while walking the Chemin St Jacques so stayed here for two nights to rest it.|My room was nicely designed and up under the rafters on the top floor. I had a lovely view over the village and the nearby hills. Everything was new, in excellent working order, and extremely clean.|The one thing that stood out to me was the food - my room was half-board so dinner came with the price. Their dishes are typical Aveyron cuisine and the owner told me that all of their ingredients are locally sourced - this is obvious when you sit down for a meal. The dinner I had on my second night there was one of the best I’ve had in France. Local sausage with a garlic/tomato sauce, potatoes with a cream sauce made of local cheese and herbs, and a chocolate mousse for dessert that was out of this world. ATTENTION PELERINS.
Voila une expérience que je n’aurais jamais imaginée possible. Arrivé en fin de journée de marche avec des amis pour prendre un verre on reste 2h au bar. Je quitte le bar en conversation avec un ami. A peine marché 10metres le gérant sort et annonce qu’une conso de 5eu n’est pas payée. Je tilte et réalise gêné que j’ai oublié. En rentrant pour payer, le gérant monte crescendo en se plaignant que des pelerins le resquilleraient de longue. J’essaie d’apaiser en m’excusant (oui mea culpa) mais la cocotte monte toute seule (ivre, bipolaire, autre ?), je laisse donc parler. Jusqu’a la fin, après avoir payé, il m’asticote un dernier coup. Je sors du bar et dis en ces mots « bon ben je te laisse avec ca pour la nuit ». A peine dits qu’il M'ATTRAPPE VIOLEMMENT A LA GORGE et me pousse au fond du resto. Choqué, je mets 2 secondes a realiser avant de me ressaisir et me defendre. Resultat mes amis nous ont séparés et je suis griffé au visage et au bras. IL A OUVERTEMENT CHERCHE LE CONFLIT.
Cet homme est arrivé a creer en moi de la haine pour quelqu’un sur ce sentier. A n’en pas dormir de la nuit. Après au moins 5 ans sans embrouille avec qui que ce soit. Sur un sentier en quete spirituelle ou je ressens depuis 8 jours la joie de donner et de recevoir. Chez cet homme (si on peut appeler ca comme ca) j’ai été traité a l’image de ce qu’il est.
Moralité pour les clients : n’emportez pas votre savonette de chambre au risque de vous prendre un coup. Ou encore mieux : EVITEZ.
Quant au gérant : je te souhaite de prendre le retour de manivelle. Je suis non-violent donc je n’ai pas tapé. Tu n’auras pas la même chance face a un autre. Et tu sais pour éviter ce genre d’oubli, on demande a ce que l’addition soie reglée au bout de genre 20 min. Enfin si tu arrives a comprendre cette phrase, parce que pour attrapper a la gorge un client pacifiste faut pas en avoir bien trop dans le ciboulot.
