S'Hislé — Restaurant in Sélestat-Erstein

Very good local food in the vicinity of the haut-koenigsburg castle. Service is very good and people are friendly, helpful, provide you sufficient details if you ask. The food is tasteful, ingredients are of quality; they serve traditional food, but also local. Décorations are nice and keep the style of the region. A small downside is that you will take the smells in your clothes, but that is not a big problem. Dessert was good, but didn't like so much the apple cake. A must is the alsatian beer, "sans coulote".

The food was delicious. Their own take on the burger is original and very tasty. I would eat it a hundred times over. Parking is limited right next to the restaurant but available around, if you are willing to walk a little. The location is not ideal for smaller children as it is right on the corner of some streets relatively busy with traffic. There is no space for children to play around or run in relative safety. Altogether a very good experience....

Skip it if you’re a no French speaking tourist. We arrived to dine , without reservation and we were denied a table but they gave it to the ladies behind us without reservation but just because they’re French.
