New Mahrajah Grill — Restaurant in Saint-Denis

Yarsin was a fantastic host for our dinner. He encouraged us inside, made us feel very welcome. Then advised on the best food for our tastes. He got everything spot on for the 5 of us. The samosas were delicious, definitely the best we have had anywhere. I had butter chicken, no heat but plenty of flavour. 2 of us had the chicken tikka masala, again a little heat and very delicious. Youngest had nice quality chicken nuggets and chips. Final person chose chicken balti, more heat and lots of flavour. Sides of naan bread and rice also lovely. I tried Lassi for the first time too, absolutely fantastic! The service was first rate from Yarsin (apologies if I have misspelt his name 🙈), lovely with our girls and nothing too much trouble. We went there to have pakistani food, but had a very bad experience. We were the only one in the restaurant so the owner just came to us 15 times to ask if we need anything else. That was very irritating. He also forced us to order more food by asking it ten times and even brought other food items that we didn't even order. So we thougt it was just for tasting, but at the end we had to pay a very high bill. It was not worth it. We ended up paying 70 euros for two people, that's way higher than what you would pay for a buffet for pakistani food. I would not recommend this at all.
