Nice ambience. I loved what I had ordered and the staff were friendly. Small issues though... The tagliatelle my fiancé was having was too cooked. And whilst I was chewing my food, the waiter who brought me my iced latte actually stood there, waited for me to taste my coffee so I could tell him if it was to my taste. That although was sweet of him, made me uncomfortable and I felt obliged to quickly down my mouthful of food to taste the coffee. The entrée was misleading as it said 'Tempura courgette' but wasn't tempura at all. It was just battered and deep fried zucchini. Not that it tasted bad, just not what the menu said. Overall, the food was good for the majority of us and the service though a little insistent, was still good. I enjoy tasting something different each time we eat there. We will definitely go there again.

Que dire, excellent 👏 très bien accueilli, une salle magnifique avec vue sur la cuisine, j'ai adoré le dress code. En ce qui concerne le repas la serveuse nous as expliqué la carte avec précision, malgré les plats originaux proposés j'ai opté pour un burger pour mon premier passage dans cet établissement. Comme dis plus haut.... EXCELLENT! sûrement un des meilleurs burger que j'ai mangé à ce jour, tout ce que j'adore à l'intérieur de ce burger et une viande à tombé, j'ai demandé le nom du chef et je tien à remercier personnellement Nicolas. Merci En dessert j'ai opté pour une brioche perdu au foin proposé par la spécialiste des desserts coline, la présentation est super et grâce à elle j'ai découvert une nouvelle saveur qui était pour moi connus uniquement comme une odeur, vraiment incroyable. Je recommande vivement. Pour résumé, j'ai passé mes proches et moi un excellent moment de A à Z et j'ai donc pris le temps de vous faire part de ce moment. Open bistro à très vite !

Bien que je sois végétarienne (ce qui n'est pas toujours simple dans des bistrots/restaurants en France), il y avait une option végétarienne (indiquée clairement) pour l'entrée et le plat. De plus l'équipe s'est montrée très accommodante en apportant un accompagnement végétarien supplémentaire (purée de courge). L'équipe était adorable et l'intérieur splendide. Au menu il y a eu: tartare de thon et tomate de crimée en entrée. Et pour les plats Steak de thon albacore "snacké", Pavé de veau et tortellini aux chanterelles et champignons (l'option végétarienne donc). Je recommande vivement! S'il y avait une seule à redire, c'est qu'une option 100% végétalienne serait la bienvenue 😉

TL;DR: Come here if you want to be ripped off, eat unhygienic food, mistreated, and have regret of visiting.

Overpriced, flavorless vegetarian ‘aubergine’ curry that has more courgette than aubergine. We had to ask for salt twice since they gave us an empty one the first time around (how).

I ordered ‘Supreme Volaille’ that is super dry and comes with a bonus! One of the chef’s hair in it! Super disgusting 🤢

When I showed it to the server, they simply took my plate away not even saying anything - and we basically waited on the table for solid 20 minutes without any clarity of what happened to my food.

When we brought it up when we wanted to pay, both the servers were super rude throwing ‘Putain’ and she even told the other one ‘I don’t want to deal with her’ about my wife, in front of her. The team was super argumentative, instead of trying to resolve the situation, they kept throwing blame at others - the trainee, the cook, the ‘unforeseen circumstance’. They even blamed us the customer for the mistake THEY did, and I asked if I should ‘make sure that no hair is in my food’ before I eat it - to which the infamous rude short haired guy at the bar said ‘yes’. Instead of trying to diffuse from the situation they INSULTED us, in front of other customers.

Advice to the owner/manager: Retrain your team members who made a fool of the rest of the team. If you are one of to servers who served us, reconsider your career choice.

But if you designed this establishment to be an overpriced, inhospitable bistro with barely edible food, congratulations! You succeeded and did...

For everyone that’s thinking of visiting Open Bistrot,

We’re celebrating our 30 years anniversary this week and wanted to eat something after a very long day of traveling and standing in a long traffic jam. We arrived at the Open Bistrot restaurant little after 21:00 knowing that the restaurant would close at 22:00. Asking the person behind the bar if we cloud eat something because my wife and me had a long day behind us. The man behind the bar said that they are closed. A bit funny, because on that moment the restaurant was practical full of people eating. Half of them still with a full plate of food, clearly that they just started eating. “Please if it is possible to just get something very small and quick to eat, we won’t be long?” My wife and me were very hungry after our ordeal. “No” was the answer again, “go get a snack in your hotel”. and send us away without any form of empathy or compassion. Not a very hospitable restaurant in my book, we had to drive to Geneve to find a place to eat. Thanks for nothing...
