Lovely restaurant, lady owner very welcoming and friendly and spoke good English. Man owner in a bit of a hurry with us, he couldn't explain what the plat du jour was, he could have asked his wife to translate for us but he didn't so we ate from A la carte menu. Scallop starter was disappointing as was the Cafe Gaumond dessert, but the main courses were good, in particularly my 7 hour lamb which was DELICIOUS. Also I pointed at my 25cl.rose and asked the waiter for another but was brought a 50cl, the man owner could suddenly speak English when he said 'you asked for 50'!! What can I say?! We just had the most wonderful meal this evening at l’Hypothèse, Combourg. We have been in France for two weeks and this is by far the best meal. The presentation of food, the service, the quality, and the staff were of the highest standard. We were met by the proprietor, Miguel and made very welcome. From the minute I arrived at the door, I presumed it was the owner, the gentleman was so accommodating with no hesitation taking a walk in booking at 7 as the restaurant opened. He was a great host, spoke good English and all the staff were excellent. The food was top quality, could not be faulted by 3 adults and two kids (7)!
