Shy Snack — Restaurant in Saint Martin (France)

Wow! I had been lunch-hungry for over an hour, but every restaurant I passed did not look like it had local cooking. And then I saw this former catering truck parked permanently near a traffic circle, beside an open-air bar. That was it! I parked my rental, walked to the window and was given a menu. I placed my order and within about 7 minutes I had the meal I had been dreaming of. I had rice, potato salad, conch fritters, cole slaw, with vegetables cooked and ever so lightly seasoned and sliced and cooked to perfection. This meal was so much that I actually took some with me. All told, without a drink the tab came to $18.00. Easy worth the money. Mmmmm, I'm getting...

We went three times during our 7 days vacation on SXM. Nice cozy place to have a drink and to eat. Amazing chicken wings & fries and also a good selection of juicy hamburgers! Have a talk with Jimmy the owner, a really nice guy who did everything to make us feel at home. 5 stars for the place, the food and especially Jimmy. He put up Canada themed decorations for a soccer match during the Copa America tournament. The place even has a pool table and he occasionally hosts live DJ events. Thank you again Jimmy and for sure we will be back.

Nous avons été 3 fois dans la période de 7 jours à SXM. L'endroit est très excellent pour prendre un bière et pou manger. Des ailes de poulet et des frites magnifiques et aussi une bonne variété de hamburgers bien garnies. Prenez le temps de parler avec Jimmy, le propriétaire, un gars bien sympathique qui a fait tout ce qu'il pouvait pour nous faire sentir chez nous. Cinq étoiles pour l'endroit, la nourriture et spécialement Jimmy. Il a quand même décoré la place pour un match de soccer pendant la Copa América. L'endroit à aussi une table de pool et il actuelle des événements DJ de temps en temps. Merci encore Jimmy, sûrement nous allons retourner dans notre prochaine...

The atmosphere was absolutely mind-blowing. He made sure every customer was comfortable and always asked if they needed anything to drink or to eat; i really recommend shy snack for anyone wanting...
