Le Cap Gourmand — Restaurant in Saint-Nazaire

We regularly go to Pornic and have visted this place lots of times for drinks and crepes. We decided to eat here one Friday afternoon but on sitting down we were not given menus for 10 to 15 minutes despite the man working walking right past our table with 2 menus he'd collected from another table and just ignoring us (he had already asked us if we were eating). Just as we were about to leave we were given menus but then after another 10 to 15 minutes we left as our order had not been taken. He seemed to be the only one serving - I would not mind a long wait for food if they are busy but I expect to be at least be offered a drink. We came there at 16 o’clock. We don’t know any French so we asked in English whether their kitchen is open. They told us we would wait for our order for 25 minutes. That was fine with us so we took our seats. We finally received the menu to read through after 15 minutes of waiting. Note that they didn’t even wipe the table we sat at while there were clear stains from drinks and food from previous customers. We picked our food and, yet again, waited. We left after another 20 minutes of being ignored by the staff, without ordering anything, while they served other tables and people who came there after us. Terrible experience. Horrible experience, we waited 30 minutes before they dress the table and give us the menus another 30 minutes to take the order and to get the actual food that was flavourless, the waiter was so mean moving the parasol for other customers and leaving us exposed to the sun while we precised that we sat there because there is shade and he kept ignoring us and taking other orders that came after we tried to keep our cool but I’m writing this so you won’t waste your time for food that’s less than average .
