L'Eole — Restaurant in Sarlat-la-Canéda

I would strongly advise tourists to avoid this restaurant. The owner’s attitude towards visitors is notably unfriendly. We ordered a steak medium rare, but it arrived well overdone. When we raised this politely with the server, we were told that the owner had reacted angrily. Similar situations with tourists appear to have happened before. It’s worth noting that the owners have reportedly been trying to sell the restaurant for over three years, which might explain their lack of care or hospitality. Unfortunately, the experience left us...

Most terrible restaurant ever! We ordered carpaccio. It was frozen and sour so we sent it back. The cook came out of his kitchen, angry and shouted at us. What was good enough for him, was good enough for us he said. He ate our frozen, sour carpaccio in front of all the guest still shouting at us that we had to pay even if we didnt want it . We payed, We left the restaurant.... Never coming...

Convivial atmosphere, and kudos to the staff whose endeavour to offer the best service to their guests was notable! They succeeded too :-) On the food side, my lamb chops weren’t pink as I had wished (too well done), but the magret served to my husband was just perfectly done. Finally, we loved the crème...
