We are a retired couple and had been out enjoying the fantastic cycling to be experienced in this region. We decided to stop for a coffee/morning tea, as we call it in NZ. I asked if we could do this and the waitress said you can sit at the back. The back meant a seating area that had outdoor furniture designed to have thick cushions and backrest pads in place (no cushions anywhere to be seen). Regardless of this, we were gratefull for the chance of a coffee and so sat quite happy to wait. 15+ minutes passed and during this time all the restaurant staff simply ignored us and of course no coffee was enjoyed. So we did what most people would do, we got up and left. Well done Le Centenaire, providing poor service like this is the way to get yourselves a one star google review. Remember, courtesy cost nothing, but losing customers costs any...

This charming place offers the true flavours of Perigordine cuisine, with fresh and local ingredients, generous portions, and exquisite service. The restaurant is located at the foot of the Montfort castle, overlooking the Dordogne river, which adds to the romantic and scenic atmosphere.

We make sure to visit here each time we are in the region, and we are never disappointed. The menu has something for everyone, from salads and soups to meat and fish dishes, all prepared with care and skill.

The staff is friendly and attentive, always ready to recommend a wine or a dessert to complete your meal. The prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you get. I highly recommend Le Centenaire to anyone who wants to enjoy a memorable dining experience in the heart of the Périgord. It is...

Location is lovely but ruined by horrible servers. Went for a coffee around 11am but weren't allowed to sit at the outside tables even though the restaurant was entirely empty. "Use the tables on the street or sit at the lounger at the back". We suggested a 10 minute coffee break in the main area wouldn't hurt but were told "no". I speak French, it wasn't miscommunication. We took the seating area at the back but left shortly after given neither the gentleman nor the lady bothered to give us a menu or take our order. There is an alternative place to have coffee in...

After enjoying French cuisine for almost two weeks, this brasserie was a timely digestive oasis with a non- meat salad with fresh ingredients. It was October and the salad included a tasty raspberry and blackberry, crisp bib like lettuce, walnut, small cheese cubes, carrot, yellow pepper and some things that I either can’t remember or cannot identify. All good with a glass of white wine and a peekaboo view of the Montfort Castle. Easy parking.

Food is excellent. Outside terrace under trees . Menu in French. Price reasonable. But service was a bit less. When asking for a table the waiter asked tge main waiter if lunch is still served at 14:00?? And when wverybody was served they all occupied a table while reading their cellphobes, which gave a message 'please leave'.
