This is a small, local restaurant attached to a farm. All of the main produce comes from the farm - lots of duck, fois gras, garlic and hazelnuts and walnuts. If you are visiting the area, just go for one of the local fixed menus which are excellent. One word of warning, if you don't like garlic - this is not the restaurant for you!

The restaurant is open on Sundays (or at least was when we visited in September) and Madame was very welcoming and happy to explain the history of all the dishes. We really liked the smoked duck breast with foie gras (see picture). Definitely worth a visit for some very regional specialities - follow the signs from the main road and don't be put off by the fact it feels like you are turning into a working farm. Local food. It was quiet hard to find actually but when we got there the owner greeted us with warm welcome. She was very nice and gave us very generous portion. We didn’t have a reservation, my dad is a vegetarian, my sister eats gluten free so we’re not the easiest to serve and/or to please but not an issue. with the smile she managed to make everyone happy. Impression très mitigée. Des cadeaux de bienvenue, Pineau, Tourin ( puisqu'il est présenté comme offert) annoncent une assiette garnie de pain brioché où sont installés tranche de foie gras, fromage, filets de magret et autre farci assez quelconque auxquels s'ajoutent des gésiers confits, une salade et quelques tomates cerise néanmoins bien appréciées. Ce menu à 29,00 € proposait un dessert gourmand sans être gourmet, crèmes colorées nombreuses et variées.... cannelé, beignet. Fondant chocolat, salade de fruits de conserve, île flottante, blanc manger, enfin un peu de fraîcheur avec des fraises fraîches malheureusement inondées de sucre. Trop. Plusieurs dames se sont présentées à notre table pour s'inquieter du déroulement de notre repas, mais nous n'avons pas identifié la maîtresse de maison. En résumé, 29,00 € pour une salade et une farandole de desserts, puisque le reste était offert....... Vraiment trop cher, très décevant sans être conforme au concept de...

Fantastic local restaurant attached to a farm. Seriously lovely food and welcome. Didn't look much as we drove past but very glad we turned in. Picture is of the dessert in the second cheapest set menu!

Super, à ne pas rater... Très bon accueil de la patronne qui a accepté de nous prendre sans avoir réservé. Assiette périgourdine bien garnie avec produits locaux, un très bon confit d'oie, le tout avec qualité et fraicheur. Le plus...une patronne très courageuse, sympathique, attentionnée qui de bon coeur vous offre l'apéritif, le potage pour patienter, une bouteille d'eau minérale et même le café. Des attentions qui se font rares de nos jours. Nous souhaitons à Mr Mme Monribot de trouver un repreneur selon leur souhait et pouvoir ainsi bénéficier d'une retraite bien méritée.
