Absolutely one of my favourite restaurants in the Propriano area. The owners are both family and it shows. The cooking is done with real passion by Mdme Mondolini, and front of house is taken care of by her son Jean-Yves. The staff were brilliant - every one of them was knowledgeable, charming, and impeccably presented. The menu has changed little in the 32 years I've been visiting and there's a good reason for this. Quelle agréable découverte que ce restaurant familial : la maman aux fourneaux et le fils en salle, accompagné par des serveurs d’une grande gentillesse. Le tout dans un endroit isolé – sans le panneau « restaurant » au bord de la route, il serait introuvable – mais avec une vue magnifique.
L’accueil est exceptionnel : le temps semble suspendu. Le fils prend le soin de vous expliquer le menu et de discuter comme si vous arriviez chez un ami. En cuisine, la maman prépare des plats si savoureux et typiques que l’on en tombe littéralement à la renverse. Ses «tripettes » m’ont replongé en enfance, rappelant celles que faisait ma propre mère.
Un grand merci pour l’hospitalité, la cuisine, la joie partagée et ce moment culinaire d’exception, le tout à un prix vraiment correct par rapport à bien d’autres restaurants que nous avons connus sur cette magnifique île. Che piacevole scoperta questo ristorante a conduzione familiare: la mamma in cucina e il figlio in sala, affiancato da camerieri gentilissimi. Il tutto in un luogo isolato – se non ci fosse l’insegna del ristorante lungo la strada sarebbe introvabile – ma con una vista magnifica.
L’accoglienza è eccezionale: il tempo sembra fermarsi. Il figlio si prende la cura di spiegare il menù e di chiacchierare come se fossi arrivato a casa di un amico. In cucina, la mamma prepara piatti talmente buoni e tipici da far cadere a terra per la sorpresa. Le sue “trippette” mi hanno fatto tornare bambino, ricordandomi quelle che cucinava mia madre.
Grazie di cuore per l’ospitalità, la cucina, la gioia e questo bellissimo momento culinario, il tutto a un prezzo davvero corretto rispetto a tanti altri ristoranti che abbiamo conosciuto su quest’isola...
