Hotel Le Ressac — Restaurant in Sartène

We didn't realise how popular this small seaside resort is until we saw all the cars parked along the road leading to it. How fortunate that we had decided to have lunch at the Hotel Le Ressac and could use its car park or we would have turned around and gone elsewhere. Thank goodness we didn't - the hotel has a lovely shaded outdoor terrace as well as indoor tables for those who prefer it. The food was plentyful, very tasty and presented beautifully in a contemporary style without being pretentious.There is ample choice on the menu from pizzas and fixed price deals through to a la carte. We got this hotel referred by a French friend. She said the hotel is simple, rooms clean and modest but praised the kitchen. How right she was! Friendly staff also, though you will need justa bit of French to get by (we had no issues with our very shaky french skills). The walk to the beach is about 2 minutes and what a lovely beach it is.
