Le Jardin de l'echauguette — Restaurant in Sartène

What a terrible experience. Upon arrival was asked by the waiter if we had a reservation upon refusal of said reservation was told over the shoulder not to bother it was booked out. The owner interviened and told us to wait 1.5 hours for a table. No problem we were in no rush. After the 1.5 hour wait the same previously snooty waited then proceeded to place us at a table between the toilets and the plate cleaning station. Asking for another table resulted in an insulting tirade, hence we simply left. I don't care how good a setting or food is disrespect for you clients is unacceptable and...

Half of tables was not occupied, we took one table for our 4 kids and the other for us and our friends (4 adults). Waiter said it’s his restaurant and we have to sit together or we have to leave - without giving any reason. He was rude. We have chosen the latter.

It’s a lovely city with a lot of restaurants, guess why they have so many free tables in this restaurant… if I were you, I will choose other place, where customers are treated...

Cette petite" Guérite perchée " de Sartène, Mérite amplement son nom, tel un joyau , jardin " suspendu" avec vue lointaine de la baie D' Ajaccio .. Ce restaurant est paisible, vous y accéderez par les petites ruelles . Accueil chaleureux des propriétaires et de l'hôtesse de table saisonnière... Une petite table sous parasol, il fait déjà très chaud. La carte est très bien exploitée, le menu également avec de belles propositions. Un rapport qualité prix très intéressant pour cette ville à fort potentiel touristique ! Notre choix se porte sur un plat " terre-mer" avec un " Merlu sauce Figatellu, pommes de terre au four , et sa roquette de fraîcheur " Parfums très agréables de ce plat, première bouchée remplies de saveurs parfaitement assaisonnées, une cuisson nacrée parfaitement maîtrisée du merlu, pommes au four fondantes...un bonheur en bouche avec une portion très qualitative. Service impeccable, empathie lumineuse, tarification très très correcte. Je souligne quelques commentaires trop aléatoires et qui ne reflète en rien, la qualité irréprochable de ce restaurant, pour y passer chaque année !! Possibilité de grillades sur brasero, qui n'était pas proposées auparavant...( saucisses de veau !...).. Bravo une nouvelle fois, très très...
