Restaurant L'Aria Nova — Restaurant in Sartène

Sadly this was our least favourite meal in Corsica. We went for dinner. The sunset was stunning on our visit. The decor was lovely and we loved the wine. My wife had the salade de poulpe which she enjoyed. I tried the Soupe de Poisson which was not to my liking. It does not mean it was bad cuisine, just that I did not like it. The main meal we ordered was the Darado Fish. We shared the main and credit to the chef that he split the dish onto two plates with all the accompaniments without charge. Sadly, it was the composition of the dish we did not like. The food was cooked well, just that the dish elements fought rather than complimented each other. The fish was grilled and topped with lemon. I could not taste the lemon. The wakame did not belong on the plate as did the rice and carrot and sweet potato sauce/juś. All these did not go together for our taste. It was cooked well so no complaints on that ground. Service was excellent, wine good, quality good but the main dish was at odds with itself. We stayed in Tizzano four days and have dinner here three times. We are not from france and got welcomed at this place! A young and well organized team working together perfectly! All meals that we ordered, starting from the salades, to the main courses were perfect and made with love :-) So, iam usually not order a dessert but i making this exception each day! Two persons, sharing one salad as starter, 2 main coarses and one dessert for two is enough! Additionally we have a big bottle water and a half liter local rose wine. All in all the bill was about 70 Euro what is not cheap but it fully pay off. Quallity does have its prize! Big up for the stuff, hopefully we come back when we are back...
