restaurant U Paviddonu — Restaurant in Sartène

We were 3 people that ordered Taglietalle alla boscaiola con tartufo, very good and abundant. The amount of tartufo was good too. Risotto mantecato with mascarpone, pepperoni (salame piccante) and orata. Very very good too, i suggest it. Tagliata di manzo with parmesan cheese and gorgonzola sauce with fried potatoes, (with peel). Very good, but my friend that has an "apparecchio" had a hard time eating because of the "frollatura", the meat was a bit too hard and chewy and full of nerves. Burrata with tomatos, pesto and olive. Very very very good, the pesto was good too and I'm ligurian so... a red local wine 2023 50cl, a bit strong but quite good to accompany the main dish. 2 coffee (the coffee here in Corsica is a bit weak with too much water for me, but it's a personal taste) 1L still water.

The waitress was gentle and spoke english too, she took care of us and treated us well too.

The atmosphere with a wonderful view, an airy place not too hot not too cold and soft music so we could enjoy it while eating and speaking without screaming.

About the price, not too expensive for the service and the place, we spent 45€/person for -one entrée/3 one main dish one red wine/3 1 still water/3 1 coffee coperto(?)

Ayant déjà eu la chance de faire la connaissance du Paviddonu l’année passée, j’avais hâte d’y retourner cette année. Et la nouvelle saison ne déçoit pas: revenu à une cuisine plus « simple », mais jamais simpliste, le restaurant retrouve l’attrait convivial et accessible qui faisait son charme. Un point non négligeable pour les sorties familiales ou entre amis. Le chef propose un choix de plats qui parleront à tous, des végétariens avec les tartelettes de légumes Aux amateurs de bonnes viandes, qui opteront pour la généreuse entrecôte, en passant par les aficionados de la mer (coupable 🤚) avec notamment le délicieux risotto de gambas, illustré en photo. Au travers de leurs présentations, chaque plat témoigne de la générosité et de l’envie de faire plaisir, et donne envie de découvrir les autres. L’équipe de service, quasiment inchangée, demeure toujours au petit soin, soucieuse également de délivrer la meilleure expérience possible. Toujours dans l’anticipation des besoins, elle donne l’impression d’un service dédié, même quand le restaurant est plein🙏. De reste. Le cadre est toujours aussi enchanteur, propice au calme et à la détente, seul ou pour partager un moment avec ceux que l’on aime. Plus que jamais...

Siamo stati a cena qui io e il mio ragazzo e siamo rimasti davvero entusiasti. Il posto è meraviglioso, con una vista incredibile e un ambiente curato nei minimi dettagli, che rende l’esperienza ancora più piacevole. Lo staff è stato gentilissimo, molto attento e al tempo stesso amichevole, facendoci sentire subito a nostro agio. Un punto a favore in più: siamo stati serviti da un ragazzo brasiliano che parlava italiano, cosa che abbiamo apprezzato molto, perché purtroppo non sempre capita di trovare personale che lo parli. Il cibo è eccezionale: gli antipasti che abbiamo scelto, “Arancini à la truffe d’été” e “Gyoza de veau corse, sauce au gingembre”, erano originali e deliziosi. Abbiamo poi proseguito con Linguine alle vongole e Rigatoni à la truffe d’été, entrambi piatti davvero gustosi e ben equilibrati nei sapori.
