First of all, the restaurant does not have a menu. They told us that the reason was that they change the menu every week. They never told us how much the dishes cost. We pay 44€ for a chicken dish. The place was very cold. It had no sufficient heating. We were with our jackets. We were 4 people. Half of what we ordered was different than what they brought us. The waiter insisted very rudely that that’s what we ordered. We were the only customers. We paid 70 euros per person, the food was not even average. If I could put 0 I would. Read moreI know - I have reviewed this hotel favorably before. But I feel I must thank them yet again for their efforts on our behalf. We usually stay at the Croix d'Or twice a year; this year it may be four times. We arrived mid-June to find that the hotel had been hit by a violent storm that made most of the rooms uninhabitable. They kindly kept one open for us, and happily the dining room was still functioning. They had printed out the boarding passes that I emailed them in advance. Read moreWe stay at this hotel maybe twice a year and usually arrive between 5 and 7 p.m. Last week our flight from Bristol to CDG was delayed and it was nearly 9 p.m. when we got to the hotel. My US cell phone was refusing to send email and texts, and I discovered I did not have the phone number so I was panicked that our room would be gone, the restaurant closed. Instead we arrived to find the owners worried that we had been in an accident and very happy to serve us dinner despite the late hour.
