Table booked Sunday evening, arrived 7pm - 2 tables occupied and no other diners arrived during our booking. Not a busy evening by any restaurant's standards.

The waitress delivered 4 full dinner plates of inedible luke-warm food and collected 4 almost-full dinner plates of the same. I am not sure why she enquired if everything was ok with our meal when I answered "no, the food was terrible" as there was no apology, enquiry to find out why we didn't eat our food or offer to choose something/anything else from the menu - she simply cleared our table and drifted away like vapour.

The indifference and lack of care shown by the restaurant staff was equally as disappointing as the food itself and would have been laughable had we not have been presented with a bill for 219 euros including all 4 uneaten dinners.

We ordered a mixture of traditional French dishes alongside food that can be bought from any fast food outlet - all inedible. The service was slow throughout which was confusing as only 2 other tables occupied.

Please don't think we set our expectations too high given that French cuisine is renowned for its artful techniques whose chefs and cooks are equipped with skills to transform simple regional ingredients expertly into one of the best cuisines worldwide - we are modest happy folk aware we are dining in a 5 star campsite restaurant, but we did anticipate our food being edible and matching the quality of food on our ferry crossing over to France.

Do yourself a favour and spend your hard-earned holiday cash on food you can eat, where you will be thanked for your custom or save it for the Duty Free on the ferry - great value for your money!

Overall we found our food to be very nice and I’m a bit perplexed at the previous very poor ratings. Maybe they have upped their game since then. We found the staff to be very nice and courteous and were happy with our experience and meal here. We even went again a few days later and brought our children this time. One of the children in our group has cerebral palsy and is in a wheelchair and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. They were really interactive with her which was beautiful to see, as sometimes people can be a bit stand off-ish and don’t know what to do or say. She didn’t like the food that was brought to her so they brought down a different dish and said that they wouldn’t charge us for the extra dish for her. So our second meal was just as enjoyable as the first, so I would recommend this...

We had a really poor experience at this restaurant.

We had an early dinner reservation at 6pm as we were dining with young children. Unfortunately by 7:30pm no food had been brought out for the kids and we had to leave to ensure they would be fed.

Whenever we interacted with the staff to ask where the food was, the responses varied between total indifference and outright rudeness.

The food some of our party received was of an acceptable quality. The prices are high, although that is to be expected with their location and captive audience.
