Restaurant Citadines Eurométropole — Restaurant in Strasbourg

Sadly, this restaurant is not worth your money. The lasagna was awful. Burned, dry and tasteless. My wife's bavette was hard and unevenly cooked and the pepper sauce was over seasoned, tasted like soap.

I took only one bite of the lasagna and returned it. They couldn't give another better piece because the whole pot was the same. Clearly they had burned the entire lasagna and were still serving it to clients without any care. I tried to get a refund as it was just repugnant and the waitress refused because of the one bite I took. They proceeded to propose a free dessert which we accepted but it wasn't enough to recover the 22€ they charged for a burned meal.

Additionally, once at the cashier, they "mistakenly" added two sparkling bottles. Although the lady suggested it was an honest mistake, it was clear to us that she did it on purpose to recover the price of the free dessert. It happened to us again on another restaurant in Metz. It seems to be the norm to "mistakenly" overcharge tourists.

They seem to prepare the food at the beginning of the week and reheat it during the week. It's not worth your money. Maybe it's better during the weekends as some people seem to enjoy this restaurant and there might be more people in the hotel. Overall a bad experience and I don't...

Sehr positiv überrascht.

Wir waren heute hier auf der Durchreise, nach einem langen Tag im Europapark eigentlich nur, um zu übernachten.

Als wir uns spontan entschieden haben, in Braise par Substance zu Abend Essen zu gehe, gingen wir ohne eine Erwartung in den Abend.

Wir wurden in allen Punkten, sehr positiv überrascht. Beginnend mit einer kleinen, aber mit liebe ausgesuchten Speise und Wein Karte, die saisonal abwechslungsreiche und kulinarisch auf einem guten Niveau liegt. Den Kindern haben die Spätzle mit Hühnchen und einer leichten hellen Sauce sehr gescheckt. Ein Extrawunsch wurde uns in der Vorspeise auch ermöglicht und einen denominated Hauptgang, den ich so nicht erwartet hätte, auch ohne Erwartungen, Hut ab, vielen Dank.

Das Steak (Bavette de boeuf) auf den Punkt getroffen und geschmacklich besser hervor gehoben, als manch ein Rinderfilet oder Entrecôte es könnte. Mit Raffinesse abgeschmeckt und optisch sehr schön angerichtet. Der Seeteufel war auf den Punkt getroffen, schön glasig, kein unangenehmer Beigeschmack absolut frisch, in Kombination mit den Beilagen, bei beiden Tellern ein gelungener Anblick und geschmacklich top.

Zur Wein Empfehlung des Services gibt es nichts hinzu zu fügen, einen sehr tollen Riesling, der keine Wünsche offen lässt und obwohl ich kein Rotwein Trinker bin habe ich, den wohl bis dahin in dieser Preisklasse besten Rotwein, auf Empfehlung bekommen, den man sich hätte wünschen können.

Dessert für die Kinder und Creme brûlée to share, haben das Ganze abgerundet.

Sehr netter Service, tolles Essen und alles in allem ein sehr gelungener Abend.

Sehr gerne wieder, wenn wir wieder hier unterwegs sind.

Dans un cadre très soigné et lumineux, j'ai beaucoup apprécié le petit-déjeuner pris le week-end dernier au restaurant des Citadines Eurometropole de Strasbourg. La jeune femme qui m'a accueilli avait un large sourire et s'est montrée très aimable. Cela ne pouvait pas commencer mieux! Le buffet du petit-déjeuner est impressionnant, très varié et bien présenté, de sorte que tout donne envie! Le choix de plats salés est grand, les oeufs brouillés étaient délicieux, ni trop secs ni trop liquides, bravo au chef ou à la cheffe de cuisine! Il manquait hélas quelques légumes (concombre, poivron, radis), il n'y avait que des tomates, dommage! Grand choix de jus de fruits et de thé et celui que j'ai choisi était très délicat. Les amateurs de café ont pu déplorer que deux des trois machines sont tombées en panne en debut de service, mais heureusement un des serveurs proposait café, cappucino et autre latte macchiato directement au bar et avec le sourire! Les pains étaient variés, la baguette fraîche et croustillante à la française vraiment délicieuse! Grand choix de viennoiseries (succulentes!) et de cakes maison. Un must, très apprécié à ma table : les crêpes fines que j'ai dégustées avec de la confiture. L'équipe des serveurs et serveuses était discrète et efficace, ravitaillant constamment les différents buffets! Certain.e.s étaient très souriants et disponibles, malgré le grand nombre de clients affamés et pas toujours aimables, dans le restaurant comme en terrasse.
