Holy cow, c'est vachement bien là!

No, seriously, this is a fantastic restaurant with an amazing view, great food, and warm, personable service. We're here visiting friends in the area and they brought us here. Incroyable!

First, of course, you go to a restaurant for the food and Les Pêcheurs doesn't disappoint. Full disclosure: I love sushi but generally hate cooked fish. But everything I tried wasn't just good, I actually had second and third tastes. And for unrepentant carnivores like me, the steak is amazing -- as good as anything I've had in Argentina or the US. And the desserts...if you like fresh fruit, have the "tiramisu" (with fresh red berries instead of coffee) but also try the chocolate lava cake with caramel ice cream. melt

The ambiance is nice, open, clean, and unpretentious with huge windows showcasing the lake. Even nicer is the patio with a little jetty. You can see ducks and even a whole family of swans cruising along in the water with the far side of the lake in the background.

The wait staff is amazing. The proprietor speaks EXCELLENT English as well as, bien sûr, French, German, and Russian...and that's just what I managed to overhear...! She was super kind to our two year old and we felt so comfortable. The wait staff seem to genuinely enjoy their work and are quite friendly and attentive.

Not recommended as the personnel was unfriendly and unprofessional. Especially for tourists expecting to enjoy their vacations around lake Leman/Geneva.

I had lunch with my wife in this restaurant and my experience was not good because of the points below:

First, no one said bonjour when we entered through the main entrance and waited to be seated.

Second, the waiter could have broken the dishes when setting up the table, it was very offensive to see this in front of my wife.

Third, the food was terrible. I ordered a fillet de boeuf and received the wrong "cuisson".

Finally, the waitress did not apologise or suggested anything when mentioned that the "cuisson" was not good; and after mentioning my disappointment the restaurant did not propose to offer a better overall experience if there was a next time.

As such, the personnel is unfriendly, food is not what we should expect, but other restaurants around the lake knows how to appreciate their customers and will give a...

Pas de places de parking et pas de place handicapé non plus ( occupé par quelqu’un qui boit son verre dehors devant le restaurant sans macaron handicapé…alors que nous en avions besoin) Ayant réserver longtemps à l’avance, ( par mail car injoignable par téléphone) demandant une place en terrasse , on nous réponds que oui, étant la 3ème personne à avoir réserver pour cette date là. Arriver on nous place a l’intérieur …. On demande des explications. Un Mr en chemise , nous réponds très hautain que non car il va pleuvoir et qu’il fait du vent . Alors que l’extérieur est plein! Des gens arrivent encore et encore et on les places dehors… on peut clairement parler de délit de faciès. Les vitres sont sales remplis de moucherons et divers autres écrasés.. on veille à ne pas être en contact avec et à ce que les enfants n’y tripotent pas… Coca déja ouverts une fois arriver à table… ( revoir la réglementation concernant le service du bar!) Si vous prenez des apéritifs à environ 9/10€ chacun , n’espérez pas quelques cacahuètes 🥜 pour les accompagner . Pain caoutchouteux , non frais. J’ai trouver un morceau de plastique bleu dans ma salade + non avons eu le trognon entier… classe. Pour des filets de perches à 30€/personne , les frites sont surgelées. Les enfants aimeraient pouvoir bouger un peu entre les plats, ce n’est pas possible étant coller contre le mur et à l’intérieur comme nous n’avons pas respecter notre demande initiale…

Bien que nous avons été mal reçus , notre repas aurait pu rattraper le mauvais départ . Ça n’a pas été du tout le cas . Le serveur lui était agréable et souriant. Venez habiller chic, polo et chemise , robe et talons , revêtissez vos plus beaux bijoux, l’habit fait le moine apparement ici. Nous partons il est 15h, le ciel est dégagé grand bleu par une belle chaleur d’été. Venant chaque année , en mémoire de notre papa qui affectionnait particulièrement cet endroit. Nous en sommes convaincus, Aujourd’hui il serait comme nous , face au traitement que nous avons reçus : extrêmement déçus et en colère.
