La Pipote — Restaurant in Toulon

Went to this beach restaurant/establishment with sunbeds twice during our stay. Staff are very friendly and helpful, prices very agreeable and the food was delicious. The first visit we had childrens menus and a serving of calamares at the beds because the restaurant was unfortunately fully booked for the two timeslots (on a Sunday), so we reserved a table for the second visit. Both worked fine but a place at the table is of course the way to go if you are able to make a reservation in advance. The menu had an extensive collection of fish and meat dishes, I had a delicious Lamb rack, which I highly recommend, and for dessert a nice tiramisu. Definitely recommend going here if your are in the area and looking for sunbeds with padding/pillows for a nice day...

Une étoile car 0 est impossible. Expérience extrêmement décevante. Le plat que j’ai commandé – une salade sorti de l’ordinaire et étrange mêlant chèvre, saumon cru et cuit, œufs pochés – était tout simplement immangeable. Je n’en ai pris que deux bouchées, malgré cela, aucune des serveuses n’a pris la peine de me demander si quelque chose n’allait pas, alors qu’il était évident que mon assiette était restée quasiment intacte. Un manque total de professionnalisme et d’attention envers les clients en plus de je trouve me regarder assez mal. Néanmoins le plagiste était à l’écoute et au top. Le pire restait à venir : j’ai commandé un café gourmand, composé uniquement de verrines manifestement préparées à l’avance, et j’ai eu la très mauvaise surprise de trouver un morceau de verre à l’intérieur de l’une d’elles. Il ne provenait même pas de la verrines, cela signifie donc qu’un verre a été cassé à proximité et que personne n’a jugé utile de vérifier avant de servir. Inacceptable et dangereux. Je trouve être rester très cordial face à eux mais je tiens à dire au futurs potentiels client...

The location of the place is wonderful, amazing to be on a beach, when the sun is setting down. In terms of food - locals recommended the place to us.
