Title: Disappointing Experience at La Plage Doree

I recently visited La Plage Doree and, unfortunately, I cannot recommend it based on my experience. It pains me to write a negative review, but I feel it's important to provide honest feedback to help others make informed decisions.

To start, the quality of the drinks we ordered was far from satisfactory. The champagne served did not meet our expectations and didn't resemble the characteristics of a true champagne. Additionally, the cocktail we ordered lacked the freshness and craftsmanship one would expect from a reputable establishment. We decided to return the champagne drinks and requested a rose wine instead, but even the replacement drinks failed to impress.

Moving on to the main course, we opted for the "Loup" and "Daurade," the fishes of the day. Sadly, the freshness of the fish was questionable. It seemed as though they had been sitting for an extended period of time, as the flavors were noticeably dull and lacked the vibrant taste of freshly grilled fish. It was disheartening to realize that the fish might have been pre-cooked and reheated instead of being prepared to order.

Given these experiences, I strongly urge potential diners to reconsider spending their hard-earned money at La Plage Doree. While every restaurant can have off days, the overall quality and attention to detail during my visit were disappointingly lacking.

I hope that my feedback serves as an opportunity for La Plage Doree to improve their offerings and regain the trust of their customers. However, until substantial changes are made, I cannot recommend this establishment as a worthwhile dining destination.

We were extremely disappointed by the quality of the food we were served today. It was revolting! My daughter ordered a salmon filet with rice which arrived in approximately 2 mins after the order was taken. I assume it was pre cooked and simply reheated in the microwave. The rice was vile. The salad we ordered was a horrible sloppy mess and did not meet the description on the menu. It’s a fast food restaurant disguising itself as a restaurant! The service wasn’t great either, we were left standing in the middle of the restaurant without anyone welcoming us or offering us a table. Everything was extremely rushed. The kitchen and the kitchen staff look like they need a good clean. I don’t recommend this place and we will certainly...

Nous avons réservé 2 transats pour la journée, ainsi qu'une table pour le service du midi. Personnel jeune,souriant,et sympathique. Nous avons commandé une burrata à partager en guise d'entrée (19,00€),et là.... voilà que le serveur nous porte une mozzarella genre "galbani" , baignant dans une sauce tomate des plus basiques.... Rien de bien grave, vous me direz....mais tout de même, c'est de la publicité mensongère..et pour un tel endroit, ça fait vraiment tâche... Le serveur, ainsi que la serveuse n'ont pas été très surpris par notre déception,et ont été désolés pour nous, en nous précisant qu'il y avait beaucoup de mauvais retours sur cette entrée nommée "La Mamma Mia".... en nous expliquant que le problème venait du fournisseur..... Quant au pain, il était directement posé sur table dans le papier kraft lorsque vous allez acheté des croissants.....vous voyez ce que je veux dire?? Pas de corbeille à pain, mais un emballage papier posé sur la table.... Une première Hallucinante..... Ça alors, quelle drôle d'idée !!?

À suivre, ma compagne a pris des gambas flambés et moi, un calamar "entier" (je cite), mais en fait émincé en lamelles, assez caoutchouteux... les 2 plats accompagnés de riz blanc, et d'une ratatouille assez relevée (allez savoir pourquoi....). Nous avons enfin partager une tarte citron déstructurée présentée dans une verrine, assez intéressante.

Je mets 2 étoiles, je n'aime pas être trop méchant, mais faudrait penser à se remettre en question.....

Bilan de la journée : 40€ de transats, et 140€ de restaurant.... J'ai eu l'audace de croire, ne serait-ce qu'un instant, que le patron allait nous enlever de l'addition, cette entrée "Mamma Mia" des plus grotesques que j'ai eu le malheur de commander dans un restaurant...en guise de geste commercial....

Hélas non, elle figurait bien sûr la note finale.... Tant pis, la prochaine fois, nous viendrons juste...
