The worst meal we had all holiday.
Overpriced and terrible food. This place relies on its location and good views and is sadly just a tourist trap that has little care for the quality of its food.
We had the fish to share for two people. It was the smallest fish I’ve ever been served for two people. It was just about enough for one person. Resembled a similar size to what you might buy as a pre-packed fish for one in a Tesco’s supermarket. (See pictures attached!) It was cooked okay, but not exceptional, a little bit on the dry side.
We also had a gazpacho soup with prawns for starters. The prawns were not fresh. They were so mushy, Texture resembled mashed potato. These two courses we paid €80 for!
We complained about the food but the restaurant only offered 15% off (25€)! So clearly, they are happy with the level of food they are serving. We were very disappointed and avoided this restaurant for the rest of the holiday, even though it was situated ontop of our hotel and had fantastic views.
What made it even more of a joke is the bill for the restaurant was the same as what we paid for the Michelin star restaurant down the road, which was fantastic food and excellent value.
If you’re ever considering going to this restaurant, I would highly recommend choosing one of the following local restaurants instead for the same price!
Harbour 464 (a 2 min walk from the restaurant, exceptional food and sea views)
Restaurant L’esperance: Michelin star, great value and €60 per person. 5 min drive in bandal.
I will say the staff were very nice, it’s just a shame the owner does not deliver the same service when it comes to the food.
We stayed in the hotel below for 8 nights but never revisited this restaurant.
I would also clarify the hotel has nothing to do with the restaurant. The Hoyle was very nice, no...
Read moreThe food was very delicious and we enjoyed sitting in the sunset on the rooftop. Unfortunately our waiter was a bit rude and did a couple of mistakes when we ordered. Maybe it was because we spoke in English to him, but he got the amount of appetisers wrong, the drinks and forgot about desserts and coffee. That’s a bit unfortunate, because initially we enjoyed the food and location. We...
