Restaurant La Voile — Restaurant in Toulon

I do not recommend and I will never return to this place! It is unbelievable how racist the employees of this restaurant can be, I travel a lot and it has never happened to me to experience something like this and to be treated in this way. I came yesterday afternoon to drink something and I want to specify that I spoke in English. I ordered 2 "café allongé" (I said exactly as it was written in the menu) and a soft drink. The waitress repeated to us the names of the coffees and I confirmed, then I asked if that is an Americano coffee and she said yes. At the end, when we were getting ready to leave and I looked on the receipt, instead of 2 café allongé were 2 double cafés. I went to the bar to pay and to try to clarify why are not 2 café allongé on the receipt. The waitress didn’t want to take the blame that she actually made a mess just because I asked her a question. After a few minutes the owner of the restaurant came but we didn't manage to understand each other because I don't know to speak French and he didn't know English at all. I understood what the waitress was explaining to him in French and how she was trying to convince him that I asked for 2 Americano coffees and it’s my fault. I stayed at the bar for at least 10 minutes and everyone was looking at me like I was the one trying to cheat but I didn't want to give up and to leave it like that. The owner with the waitress and other employees were talking in French, not knowing that I had any idea what they were talking about, we tried to use google translate and the owner made a very bad joke, trying to translate for me that if I don't pay for the coffees, he will call the police and everyone around started laughing. For me, it wasn't about €3, it was about that it's not fair to order something and to pay for something else. After a long stay at the bar, I paid what I originally had to pay. Visiting from New York City, we came to Six Fours for the first time to see a friend who recommended La Voile, and what a wonderful experience! We started with the fried zucchini flower, which was light, crispy, and absolutely delicious (and that is coming from someone who usually does not like zucchini!). At our friend’s suggestion, we also tried the frog legs for the first time and they were such a pleasant surprise, tender and flavorful, almost like French style chicken wings.

Nous sommes venus fin octobre en famille comme à notre habitude à la voile et qu'elle déception, ma femme avait commandé un pavé de maigre arrivé pas cuit (ça peut arrivé) nous rappelons la serveuse, et renvoie le plat en cuisine, un nouveau poisson arrive et toujours pas cuit nous rappelons denouveau la serveuse et nous lui indiquons que ce n est toujours pas cuit, elle nous répond en gros qu on y connaît rien à la facon de cette cuisson basse T° ,on lui dit que la cuisson ne nous convient pas , elle prend le plat et nous réplique d un ton autun et pas agréable que ce n est pas à elle qu il faut se plaindre, bref , elle repart énervée et revient 1 minute après en nous disant c bon c cuit se coup si , oui merci pour l avoir passé au micro-ondes je pense car une cuisson basse T° c est 25mn de cuisson normalement ,ça ne s arrête pas la , ma belle fille prend un st felicien chaud et en mangeant trouve 1 morceau de plastique de 2cm ,on rapl la serveuse arrivant avec les yeux au ciel ,je lui demande si c normal, pas de son et repart en cuisine , pas revu après car elle a envoyé d autres personnes pour débarrasser, on a écourté au plus vite ce repas , nous sommes fortement déçu , car ça nous a gâché notre soirée, le gérant n étant pas présent ce soir là je pense que ça se serai déroulé autrement, la fille de la caisse nous a quand même offert le st felicien, désolé mais nous ne remettrons plus les pieds dans cette établissement, choisi c mieux votre...
