Hotel Restaurant le Roof — Restaurant in Vannes

We made more than 1000 km from Switzerland to stay in Le Roof hotel during 10 days. Two booked rooms we’ve got were very small: first room (111) was opposite the lift, another room (125) had a terrible stinking so that we had to change it in two days as they didn’t have other rooms earlier... The staff in the bar and two restaurants is unfriendly and looks unmotivated, exception: two ladies by the reception (a blond, pretty woman, who speaks good English plus another friendly young lady: both receptionists, and a young man who servers in Brasserie and lives in the hotel). The cuisine is very good. „Maitre d‘hotel“ Joris speaks a good English but is extremely uninviting and arrogant, especially towards foreigners! Out of 10 days of our stay we visited restaurant and Brasserie only 4 times and not more because of his unfriendly treatment. The breakfast is not included in the rates of the rooms: costs 14 Euro per person, every morning is the same.., fresh pressed juice is not available or offered (Ibis hotels have it even now...). The staff of the hotel doesn’t have names‘ shields... There is no air-conditioning in the whole hotel. Mind the weather, please. The view of the hotel is fantastic. A personal friendly treatment of all guests on the equal level could have contributed to the hotel but this point is missing there unfortunately. There are really much things that must be...

RESTAURANT

Mes parents apprécient particulièrement cet endroit pour déjeuner loin du tumulte vannetais, dans un joli cadre calme et reposant. Il s'agissait d'un déjeuner en famille à l’occasion de la Fête des Pères. L’expérience a été très agréable.

Environnement Dès notre arrivée, nous avons apprécié la facilité de stationnement grâce au parking accessible également à la clientèle de l’hôtel.

Décoration L’endroit est accueillant, avec une salle spacieuse, lumineuse et bien agencée. Selon l’emplacement de votre table, la vue peut être particulièrement intéressante et ajouter une note plaisante au repas. Toutefois, il serait peut-être temps de penser à un petit changement de décoration, car l’ensemble manque un peu de modernité. Un rafraîchissement apporterait sans doute une nouvelle dynamique au lieu.

Accueil Souriant.

Service Le service est soigné, discret et efficace, ce qui a contribué à l’atmosphère plutôt calme et reposante du lieu.

Plats Nous avons débuté par un apéritif au champagne accompagné d'un plateau d'huîtres, une entrée en matière délicieuse et fraîche. J’ai ensuite opté pour le menu complet avec entrée, plat et dessert. En entrée, j’ai choisi un tartare de dorade : la présentation des plats est soignée et colorée, ce qui met en appétit. Le plat principal était une Sole Meunière accompagnée d’une garniture de saison parfaitement cuisinée, un vrai plaisir pour les papilles. Enfin, pour terminer ce repas sur une note gourmande, j’ai savouré une mousse au chocolat onctueuse et généreuse.

Pour clore ce moment, nous avons pris notre café sur la terrasse. Cela permet de profiter encore davantage du cadre agréable et de prolonger le moment dans une ambiance détendue.

Sanitaires Les sanitaires étaient propres.

Chaque visite chez mes parents est pour moi l’occasion de savourer deux incontournables : les fruits de mer frais et les galettes bretonnes, et ce déjeuner n’a pas dérogé à la règle.

En résumé, une belle adresse pour passer un moment agréable en famille dans un cadre soigné, avec un service de qualité. Je recommande pour les amateurs de produits de la mer et d’une...

Excellent location close to the Gulf of Morbihan with beautiful views! Good easy car parking and pet friendly! Staff were professional, some spoke English as well.....The room had a lovely balcony with great views and was very comfortable and clean! No air-conditioning but a fan was provided when asked for! The bathroom had a bath with a shower over. The standard of housekeeping over the 4 nights we stayed was exceptional! We had dinner in the restaurant on 2 nights and the menu and quality of the food was excellent - the service was a tiny bit chaotic at times but all good in the end!
