Le Grain de Sel — Restaurant in Vannes

We made a reservation for our daughters 21 st birthday last night, we have eaten here multiple times but have not been for 6-7 years, it was always very good but what a shock last night a cold reception a server with the pony tail was mute and completely rude for the first 3 times at the table on to push past my wife to throw the wine list on the table, a second to actually set the table and the third to just come and push my glass out of the way to try and scratch the wine list from under the menu which was put on top of it, menu very limited, the service from the owner was correct but we ordered the same meal essentially apart from the sauce and the all medium one bloody, one mid and one over cooked, chips soggy and greasy, atmosphere cold and uninviting, we didn't want to stay for desert and nearly walked out before ordering, and left feeling disgusted after taking our daughter to somewhere we once rated never again. We all speak fluent French so no misunderstanding and Leave...

Bonjour, Je ne met pas un avis pour la cuisine mais pour "l'accueil".... Pourtant j'aurai bien testé les ribs de boeufs braisés ... Mais ...

Nous sommes passé à 12h00 pour demander s'il était possible de réserver pour 12h45 (une table pour 2). La servante accepte et note la réservation. 1 - 12h45, nous nous présentons. Le barman (pas vraiment souriant) nous demande le nom de réservation, puis part dans la salle du bas. Je le suis machinalement mais il fait demi tour le bras tendu pour me faire reculer (façon CRS) en m'indiquant que la serveuse allait nous placer... 2 - La serveuse nous accueille et commence à nous emmener dans la salle du bas. Mais son patron arrive la "chope" (méchamment) en lui disant qu'il est "plein" ... 3 - Il se retourne, vérifie le registre et m'explique de façon très agressive que c'est lui qui gère les réservation et qu'on a réservé tard... "et donc c'est en haut" ! Interloqué je fini par lui demander "s'il y a un problème". Il me répond (par 3 fois en nous plaçant) toujours aussi agressif : "Il n'y a pas de problème". 4 - Donc : Si le patron et le barman ont des problèmes de gestion des résa et de management avec la serveuse, ce n'est pas aux clients de subir leur très mauvaise humeur Et en effet "sans problèmes" on est sorti et avons savouré une très bonne pizza et un caviar de lentilles et poissons fumés .... dans la pizzeria en face !!! Je conseille

En réponse au propriétaire. Je me manque d'être installé en haut ou en bas, mais revoyez votre ton vraiment agressif quand vous parlez à vos clients.... ou...

Great local french restaurant, which was chocka with locals after morning markets- always a good sign. We had pulled up in our Canal bateaux earlier. Three of us sat down for dejeuner. 2 wait staff were run of there feet, but did well to appease all. Very french food and drinks menu , lotsa good choices. I had the Moules, missus had the beouf carpaccio and Ames had the Italian hamburger, no complaints from anyone. Mrs said her Carpaccio was excellent. Good lively atmosphere ciupled with good vino &...
