A Hidden Gem in St Cyr L'Ecole!
La Pause has quickly become one of my go-to spots in St Cyr L’Ecole, and for good reason. Blending the charm of a local bistro with the creativity of bistronomy, this place delivers consistently great food and warm, welcoming service.
I’ve ordered their Diavola pizza multiple times—both for takeout and dine-in—and it never disappoints. Perfectly crisp crust, just the right amount of heat, and fresh ingredients that show real attention to detail. I've also tried the beef confit with black garlic, mashed potatoes, and wild garlic—an absolutely delicious, comforting dish that hits all the right notes. Their steak was equally satisfying, cooked to perfection.
What truly sets La Pause apart, though, is the atmosphere. The owner is incredibly friendly and always greets guests with a big smile, making you feel instantly at home. The service is attentive without being overbearing, and the vibe in the restaurant is cozy and relaxed. One thoughtful touch I really appreciate is the kids' play corner stocked with books and toys—a lifesaver for parents who want to enjoy a good meal while their little ones are entertained.
Honestly, I can’t think of anything I’d change. I’ve already recommended La Pause to friends and have brought a couple along—they loved it too.
Read moreExcellent experience in La Pause! The menu is diverse enough to have a choice but limited to ensure all is fresh and of course the quality. You even have pizza with truffles! Cocktails are very tasty and can be original as for instance pear mojito 🍸 Food is at the level of bistronomie it means that you notice a real chef is in the kitchen … no doubt! At lunch time there was a menu very reasonable in price compare to quality. Timing of everything was very well balanced .. we didn’t wait but we didn’t feel rushed. Possibility to book on the fork. Employees are welcoming and very polite. They take the Amex...

Cela m’a suffi.
