La Trattoria — Restaurant in Versailles

What we wanted was a simple restaurant, not a michelin-starred experience, priced accordingly. We got it. The management communicated with us effectively in English, Spanish, Italian, and of course French. The pizzas were great, my wife loved the veggie pizza, said it was her best ever. We found it by asking a group playing petanca balls nears the parking lot which restaurant they recommended. This was their top pick of the three right there, and we saw a steady stream of locals walking in for a sit down or to pick up their pizzas. In addition to the pizzas, there were deserts, veals, pastas including lasagna, salads, coffees, beers, wines, and drinks. My wife even got her "agua de casa"/water in a carafe which she always prefers for reasons I won't mention here. I think we may go back...

Niente male e relativamente economico rispetto a tanti altri locali. Però l'offerta è un po' distante da quella "classica" italiana, solo il tiramisù preso per dessert si avvicinava ad un piatto più o meno tipico. A guardare il menù anche pasta e pizza dai nomi sono "italiani" ma da quello che ho visto prendere ad altri mi sa che sono adattati ai gusti e alle abitudini francesi. Devo tornare ad assaggiare un piatto di pasta personalmente prima di un giudizio definitivo. Un po' infantile lasciare in sottofondo musica di 35-40 anni fa che ripeteva esclusivamente Ricchi&Poveri, Cutugno, Albano&Romina e Celentano... Anche la musica leggera italiana è andata avanti ultimamente 😁 Aggiornamento: 5 stelle strameritate, provata una puttanesca e praticamente perfetta, mai mangiato meglio "italiano" all'estero. Anche la musica di sottofondo stasera era più varia e moderna ☺️. Servizio sempre impeccabile e personale compreso titolare simpaticissimi. Insomma un must se si vuole mangiare davvero italiano da queste parti, semplicemente basta...

I tried the Pizza take away one time. The family really liked the taste and adequate size of the pizzas and amount of toppings. Since then every week we have a Pizza dinner at home with these nice pizzas from La Trattoria. On top of it, the staff is very nice...
