Courtepaille — Restaurant in Vienne

This is potentially one of the worst places I ever had food in France, Hardly any meat on the plate, french fries are soaked in fat, they would hardly be able to take my 100€ bill for 40€ invoice blaming me and asking me to find a place to change it as they have no cash, the waitress was a really super unfriendly person (hardly seen anywhere else in all of Europe) ... no mustard on stock (what a joke) ... and piece of beef that was ordered medium and came super well done (she did not care at all after I complaint) but it was so small it potentially became well done within 30 seconds ... I will never ever go there again and do NOT recommend this place ... even thinking to avoid Courtpaille all over France after such an...

Nous sommes arrivés à 19h au Courtepaille de Chasse-sur-Rhône, on est venu nous demander si nous voulions un apéritif. Nous souhaitions une bière, ils n'avaient plus de bière pression, juste un choix de 2 bières en bouteille (très chères). J'ai commandé un burger, il est arrivé froid. J'ai demandé à le faire réchauffer, il est revenu 15 minutes plus tard, quand ma famille avait fini de dîner. Mon mari a pris une bavette échalottes, aucune sauce ne l'accompagnait. Le serveur a osé dire que la sauce crème ciboulette qui accompagnait la pomme de terre au four servait aussi pour la viande. Aucune échalotte sur la viande, comme annoncé et de plus la viande était loin d'être saignante, comme il en avait fait la demande. Concernant le dessert, on a commandé une tarte aux pommes avec une boule vanille, il n'y avait plus de glace à la vanille. La tarte était un produit décongelé ou acheté au supermarché. Mon fils s'est retrouvé avec un verre ébréché pour boire. Le serveur ou la serveuse sont juste venus nous voir pour prendre notre commande, jamais on ne nous a demandé si le repas se passait bien. Le principal serveur passait tout son temps à une table en particulier : celle de sa femme et de ses filles car elles dînaient dans le restaurant. Au moment de régler la note, le serveur annonce le prix et ne présente aucun ticket. Nous avons dû en faire la demande. Par ailleurs, il n'a pas été en capacité de nous remettre notre ticket de carte bleue car il n'y avait plus de papier et quand il a remis un rouleau, il n'a pas su sortir le ticket. Pour résumé : produits servis non satisfaisants, aucun service et aucune amabilité, temps d'attente très long et des produits non disponibles. Fuyez ce restaurant, c'est déplorable et j'espère qu'il va...

Unfortunately there is nothing positive. Actually there is … I can only feel sorry for the people working there as you can feel they’d like to be able to do well but management is clearly lacking… from basic products not available etc . It’s a shame as this place was more than okay a few years ago. Update after talking with the hotel : ‘courtepaille’ went bankrupt so this is why they have difficulty to source products but things should get better soon as the restaurant will be taken over by another brand …...
